Course Recognition & Awards (in the last 3 years):
The Bachelor of Science in Architecture (Honours) and Bachelor of Interior Architecture (Honours) programmes have received full accreditation by the Board of Architects Malaysia (Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia, LAM).
With the accreditation, TAR UMT students who have graduated from the Bachelor of Science in Architecture (Honours) are recognised by the Board of Architects Malaysia (Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia) as LAM Part I of the professional programme in architecture. With sufficient relevant working experience, they may subsequently register for their LAM Part II postgraduate architecture studies and upon graduation register with LAM as a Graduate Architect. After fulfilling the relevant working experience in architecture, graduates are eligible to sit for the LAM Part III Professional Examination and upon passing this examination may register with LAM as an Architect.
ii) (1), (2), and (3) must include SPM Credit/O Level Grade C/ UEC Grade B in one mathematics subject#
iii) (1), (2), (3), (4) and (5) must pass in Portfolio Interview conducted by TAR UMT.
*Grade C and above in English Language conducted by TAR UMT is accepted as having fulfilled the English Language requirement for applicants who fail English Language at SPM/O Level/UEC.
#Grade B and above in General Mathematics conducted by TAR UMT is accepted as having fulfilled the Mathematics requirement for applicants with a pass in SPM/Grade D or Grade E (pass) in O Level/Grade C in UEC in the required Mathematics subject.
b) TAR UMT Diploma will be accepted on credit transfer into Bachelor Degree programmes.
c) Equivalent qualifications/qualifications from other Institution of Higher Learning (IHL) will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
d) Subject to the Ministry of Education latest requirements.
A-Level Qualification: Applied Information and Communication Technology, Computer Science, Law, Psychology, Sociology, Geography, Economics, Accounting, Pure Mathematics, Mathematics, Mathematics-Further/Further Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computing, Business Studies and any other relevant technical subjects.
UEC Qualification: Malay Language, English Language, Chinese Language, History, Geography, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Advanced Mathematics, Advanced Mathematics (I), Advanced Mathematics (II), Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computing and Information Technology, Business Studies, Book Keeping and Accounts and any other relevant technical subjects.
